- Abstract
-
Rapid urbanization in Spain has reshaped community structures, social networks, and cultural practices. This study investigates how urbanization impacts social cohesion, identity, and collective behaviors in Spanish cities. Using ethnographic methods and surveys in Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia, the study examines patterns of migration, neighborhood engagement, and social integration. Findings indicate that urban expansion promotes both opportunities and challenges for community cohesion, with implications for urban planning, social policy, and public governance.
